I could not agree more. Just had a Facebook "discussion" about this very subject with my Paulbot brother this morning. His premise is that a vote for Mittens is the same as a vote for Obama - he does not recognize a difference between any of the candidates save Dr. Paul. Of course he is wrong and I tried to explain that if one cannot obtain 100% of the change they want, something would be better than nothing. There are many issues on which the two major political parties walk the same path. But there are many other crucial issues on which they diverge. A non-vote is a guarantee for no positive change whatsoever and more of the same destructive progressive policies that Obama and his ilk have hit us with since 2008.

The only problem with your argument is this: in Romney, we are talking about a man who has expressed a belief in pretty much the same policies as Obama. He has said he is a Progressive, and the only thing he has in common with Republicans is his voter's registration card. So, in reality, we may vote Obama out, but we will not change the direction of the nation.

Still, the time to have made this stand against the Party system was back in the Perot days. Now, I think we need to start looking more toward the States than fixing the federal government because the federal is too far gone to save. We either reset it, or succumb to it. I don't see a middle ground - not anymore.

Whoever wins, I will vote for them, however, I am not excited over any of them, especially Romney.
Looks like he’s the heir apparent. It’s going to be McCain / Obullcrap all over again.
We’re all going to suffer because no one ran that could beat the living daylights out of the dictator thug from Chicago.

The National States Rights Coalition is an organization dedicated to restoring the constitution to its original success formula of the founding fathers by repealing the 17th and 16th amendments and in that order.

Our plan of action is to educate all of the states legislators in every state that article V of the constitution grants the states the power to repeal or adopt amendments to the constitution and thereby paving the way for them to take back the power the founders gave to the states to check and control the Federal government.

As they are educated we encourage them to send a strong message to congress insisting Congress repeal the 17th amendment, the same way the 17th was adopted, and the same way prohibition [18th] was repealed. Holding in reserve the action that could be taken by holding a constitutional convention

We are in the process of identifying and contacting all like-minded organizations to pull them together to pool our strengths and eliminate duplicate efforts.

Our goal is to get people in every voting district to act as a liaison between our organization and their state legislators ensuring that the legislators will read our messages and join our fight.

We urge all like-minded organization, such as yourselves, to join us in our plan of action, and we would entertain the idea of joining other organizations should they have a better plan of action. We don't care who gets the glory we are only interested in getting the work done.

Please contact us at your earliest convenience.

Daniella,
Of course you're right. I was picking what I referred to as ‘the best of this bunch’, not “the lesser of two evils”. Is that comparable to the glass half full instead of half empty? I digress. However, even if a Christi or Palin enter, that still wouldn't shake me. My guy hasn't thrown his hat in the ring and God only knows if he will. How do I know he’s my guy, because if he enters this race, I will put up signs, buttons, window clings (I hate bumper stickers), even if I had to find the money to create my own. I would send him a check for as much as I could afford and encourage others to do so. But -- of this bunch we have now -- no one excites me or moves me enough to go all out for their campaign. I just reconciled that this is what we have to pick from and ANYBODY is better than the current occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. What else can we do?
Oh I am praying my guy gets in and hinting - hinting a lot on his FB pages.
WHAT ELSE CAN I DO, TELL ME.

Thank you both for reading the post, sharing and commenting. It's people such as you who get involved and speak up that make a difference in the world, and who make doing this all worthwhile. :-)
